Our longstanding passion for farming has its roots in our upbringing within farming communities, despite not being born into a farming family. We initiated our venture modestly by starting with a small herd on a friend’s farm, which quickly progressed to utilizing the entire farm. Our initial livestock included Brangus cows, which demonstrated remarkable adaptability to the harsh Senekal winters. This observation led us to the clear decision to focus on breeding Brangus cattle. To ensure the success of our endeavor, we registered a stud and acquired the finest genetic stock suited to our environment. We procured our first Brangus bull, Ferdi, from one of South Africa’s premier breeders. Ferdi has been instrumental in building a robust foundation for our herd. We meticulously selected female cows based on their Estimated Breeding Values (EBVs) and phenotypic characteristics. To diversify the genetics within our herd, we have since added two additional bulls. Our breeding program now aims to produce cows and bulls for sale to both commercial and stud breeders.
